Llanfechell is an ancient Village at the North of Anglesey, surrounded by rolling fields and a short distance from the coastal path at Cemaes Bay .
St Mechell Church, is prominent at the heart of the village with its whitewashed walls has a wealth of history to share.
The Meddanen river uniquely runs through the village twice! With its clear waters many take the time to stand on either of the two bridges listening to the tumbling sound of the water. The river runs along the Brynddu Estate joining the Wygyr before flowing into the sea at Cemaes Bay.
Early life in Llanfechell was home to the famous Diarist, William Bulkeley - Brynddu, John Elias, 19th Century Methodist preacher and General Sir Owen Thomas MP, Soldier and agriculturalist to name just a few.
